One year at Dedalus

Today is the one year anniversary of Dedalus Labs.

On May 5th, 2025, Dedalus Labs, Inc. official incorporated as a Delaware C corp company, exactly 365 days ago.

My co-founder Cathy and I founded the company in her Princeton dorm room. It's remarkable looking back on it.

We were so excited to found a company together. We incorporated the company even before applying to Y Combinator. We were confident that things would work out, even if an accelerator didn't take us.

Fortunately, we got into Y Combinator a few days later.

Here are some things I learned along the way.

Like many founders, Cathy and I had to wear multiple hats. One skill we had to cultivate was managing the work of our employees.

As an engineer, I'm almost always on the maker's schedule. I find it very taxing to context switch.
